Bombyx Silk Hankies: China

The lighter than air thin layers of our bombyx silk hankies are easy to spin. Bombyx silk hankies are made by stretching silk cocoons over a frame to dry which gives them their “hankie-like” shape. Fun to spin and wonderful to dye, bombyx silk hankies can be even be knit directly from pulling the silk out into roving straight from the hankie. A true treat.
